Election Date - February 21, 2026
The annual election for the Board of Fire Commissioners Dist. #3 in the Township of Commercial, County of Cumberland will be held on February 21, 2026, at the Laurel Lake Fire & Rescue Co. fire house located at 5436 Battle Lane in Laurel Lake.
The polls will be open from 2pm to 9pm.

Up to 60,000 for the purchasing of SCBA packs and SCBA bottles
Amendment to Length of Service Awards Program (LOSAP)
LOSAP is a program the generates investment retirements for volunteers to help recruit and retain volunteers that are members of volunteer fire and rescue companies
Points System
Minimum points 50 for 50% of max contribution
Maximum points 100 for 100% of max contribution
Contributions are given by percentage of points between 50 and 100 i.e. 75 points = 75% of max contribution
One point per drill/training (Max 20)
One point per meeting (Max 10)
Two points per emergency call (Max 20)
20 points for volunteer office role held during the full year (Max 20)
One point per fundraising event (Max 20)
One point per work detail (Max 20)

Benefits are to be received by volunteers of Laurel Lake Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company .
Max contributions per volunteer of $1150 with annual automatic annual increases based on cpi increases published by the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs.
Anticipated total cost for 2026 of $7000
No crediting for prior years of service
